The further up the Hudson, the terrain changes a bit and we encounter rocky hills and cliffs. The bridges travel into the hills while trains pass through.
On this day, our travels up the Hudson take us past West Point.
We travel north and encounter a very scenic lighthouse., framed by the Catskills.
We make our way into the Roundout Yacht Basin and head for the marina.
We pull into the Roundout Yacht Basin, fill up with diesel, and head to our slip. They have several boats staying for the night, so the face dock is quite cramped but we all fit. The marina boasts of a restaurant, which is only open on Saturdays, a swimming pool and even corn hole! It is a hot day, so we take care of priorities first.
Another good day on the water. Tomorrow onto Waterford.
