We left bright and early Wednesday morning, May 25th.
We pass through Charleston and will continue on the ICW. Our average speed today will be around 10 knots.
It took us 5 1/2 hours to arrive to Hazzard Marine. It seemed like a really long day with not all that much to see along the way. But…it wasn’t stormy, so no complaints.
Georgetown is a small community, with some shops, restaurants, several marinas filled with pleasure craft and commercial shrimpers. From the marina, it is about 1/2 mile walk through residential area to the start of the downtown commercial district. There are definitely no highways to cross in this town.
After a day of boat travel, sightseeing, walking and eating (and perhaps a drink or two), we are tired and head back to Prime 11.
With this latest post, I have caught up to our travels. So from now on, my posts will be current to where we are. Thanks for traveling with us, and I hope you enjoy reading our adventures.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend to all!
