As our boating season ended last year, I must admit I was a quite negligent in wrapping up the blog! From Ludington, we made a pit stop along the way at Muskegon and headed back to North Shore Marina in Grand Haven. There the boat was put away for the winter at North Shore Marina. Various reasons changed our plans of completing the loop in the fall, but the primary one being the declining health of Tom’s dad, John, who sadly passed away in November.
We will miss him dearly. He loved reading of our travels and always had a relevant story to share or useful tips to contribute. Being a boater himself, John introduced the sport to his children, teaching them to not only love the water, but also to respect its power. As a family, they enjoyed many nautical adventures together, mainly on Lake Erie.
This summer we will take up where we left off in the fall. Prime 11 is back in the water in Grand Haven and is “primed” for the completion of our journey.
Once the weather permits, we will head to Chicago.
At Chicago, we will enter the inland waterways and head to Green Turtle Bay in Grand Rivers, KY. There we will officially cross our wake!
So glad to hear you’re back in the water. We met you in Winthrop Harbor last season
We are in Kenosha at Southport Marina this season. Give a shout if you’re in the neighborhood this year
Safe travels!
